Player Spotlight: Adrian Hardy

Player Spotlight:  Adrian Hardy
by Nicholas "NinosCorner" Battle

Adrian Hardy had a monster season last year.  The 6'2", 200 pound receiver performed at his best on the highest stage against LSU this previous season.  Hardy caught 10 passes for 181 yards and 2 touchdowns during the contest.  And...did I mention that much of his work that day was done against LSU's consensus All-American and future 2nd round pick of the Cleveland Browns, Greedy Williams.

Hardy registered a 53.2 BSN score, which is comparable to physical NFL receivers such as Atlanta's Mohamed Sanu and Buffalo's Robert Foster.

Although 2018 was a great season for Hardy (75 rec, 1145 yds, 6 TDs), we should expect even better from him in his upcoming Redshirt Junior season.  Hardy is the best receiver in C-USA and possesses all the skills necessary to continue to progress as a player.  His 9.6 yards per target ranks in similarity to NFL receivers Julio Jones (Atlanta Falcons), DeAndre Hopkins (Houston Texans), and Michael Thomas (New Orleans Saints).

Luckily, we will get to observe Hardy against elite talent in LA Tech's first game against Texas on August 29th.  He's a true matchup problem and Tech's ability to move him around the field to create favorable matchups will be a key aspect to look forward to in the game.

If Hardy continues along the path he's currently on, we will definitely hear his name called on Sundays.
